Games and puzzles A site containing maths puzzles and games for children. The site also contains heights for some mountains in the data section.

Ideas for the Kids A useful website for child friendly days out, venues and attractions.

Literacy resource Useful literacy resource with a good on line dictonary and thesaurus.

MathsZone A useful maths sites with lots of interactive online maths games.

National Gallery Website An excellent resource for parents, teachers and pupils to find about artists and their work. Materials can also be bought on line.

National Geographic Particularly useful for Years 5 and 6.

News website for children An excellent site for children where current news events are presented in an atractive and easily accessable format.

NRICH Interesting maths activities made fun for children. NRICH has thousands of members from 100 countries and many more regular users. Everything is free.

Ordnance Survey's web site dedicated to 7-14 year olds Children can use maps to find places to visit and tell others about them so they can visit too. The site has a section where children can play games and find information to help them with their homework.

Parent Governors Representative Network This site is funded by the Department for Education and Skills (DfES) and managed by the National Foundation for Educational Research (NFER). There are Parent Governor Representatives (PGRs) in each local education authority (LEA) in England and their role is to represent the voice of parents on local education committees.

Rivers and Coasts An excellent website where animations clearly explain the water cycle and the physical processes of erosion, transportation and deposition.

Romans Yet another good website from the BBC. Children can find out about the Roman invasion, the army, roads and places to name but a few. The site also offers activities, a glossary and a time line. Well worth a visit.

Schoolzone Over 38,000 free educational resources reviewed by UK teachers - includes software, lessons, resources, books and much more.

Victorians An interactive website where children can find out what life was like for Victorian children for example the type of work that they did and school life.

Woodlands Junior School The world famous school website which boasts  11,000 pages of easy to read information to support learners of all ages.
